The Historiographers

Home to the history enthusiast.
'The Historiographers' was first formed in 2012 as an open group for all history enthusiasts.
The idea behind it was to get all manner of people together in one place to discuss topics of mutual interest, share news and to promote upcoming events, exhibits and lectures.
It aimed to break down elitist circles and bring together everyone with a passion for the past.
Working in partnership with Son of Hudde Films, the group's first ever independent documentary was shot in Hampshire, Kent, Somerset, Surrey and Sussex throughout December of 2016.
He Who Fathered Christmas is set for general online release this December but after that who knows?

"It was great fun getting to visit all manner of fascinating locations.
Being a bit of a history enthusiast myself, I wanted to film something a little different. One idea behind the project was to get children interested in documentaries, hence the subject content. Children are always asking their parents about Father Christmas so why not give them an answer? We are presenting the project as a 'specumentary' or speculative documentary as part of it centres around traditional folklore. People can make up their own minds about it. At fifteen minutes, we hope it is short enough to keep the attention of most audiences but long enough to deliver bitesize information. We have been fortunate too to be in the position to use green screen technology in an attempt to bring history to life for the whole family. We hope that people enjoy it."
